Melissa and Doug Kitchen Giveaway- Post 5

Well, This is my last post and I did some shopping to add to our craft corner. But in these posts I am focusing on what I think the kids would love and this list is longer than the others but is for smaller items. I think the lacing shoes and the see and spell, the Pattern blocks and Boards, the wooden shape sorting clock. The other item is the building blocks, we have the big cardboard ones but I would like to get the wooden ones and I wish there stores would stock the book about what to do with your children with building blocks. It is put out by the group that certifies preschool, the NAEYC The Block Book (3d ed.) by  Elisabeth S. Hirsch.  This book explains the the contributions to physics, math, social studies and creativity that occurs by playing with blocks. Since this is my last blog on Melissa and Doug, I do have one request - they are so good at putting their toys in quality cases when you buy them, I wish there also a good method of storing that toy or another toy. To go with the whole, Reduce, reuse, recycle effort.  Obviously, Of course I do want the Kitchen set too.

Thanks, Jane

Melissa and Doug Kitchen Giveaway- Post 4

Well, I knew I would not run out of things I would like from the Melissa and Doug store because all of their toys are great.  So, what would I like to get for the kids next.  It has to be the Grocery and Lemonade Stand  - we have a shopping cart and for some reason I am always the grocery store. I get to hold all the groceries and the kids come and decide what they are going to buy from me. Once they buy it all, we start over. The grocery stand would be great, at least I could sit behind it - or they would want to stand behind this one and sell the foold themselves.. Woo Hoo  Thanks for another great toy.. jane

Melissa and Doug Kitchen Giveaway- Post 3

Good evening, this is my third posting to tell you what a great toy makers Melissa and Doug are in this world of junk toys. All of their toys are a good quality and I expect that in 25 years - their toys will be in the same category as Radio Flyer is for bikes and wagons.  Awesome.  My next selection for a toy I would love is the Multi-Activity Table.  I would keep that one here at my house since they spend a lot of time here too.  They all love trains and this would be an awesome way to set them up instead of on the floor all the time.  I could even put my Christmas Tree on this table and keep it just a little bit away from the toddlers. Thanks for being as good as you are..  jane

Melissa and Doug Kitchen Giveaway

Good evening, This is my first posting about the great Melissa and Doug site for toys for children. You can reach them at

I love the play food and my grandchildren love playing with it too. I hope we can get more food for them to play making dinner. Their food allows the child to practice their cutting skills in a safe way.

Thanks, jane
